Entry Level HR Assistant
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The position requires some filing which may involve lifting files, opening file cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Must have the ability to drive and travel as needed.
- College Degree with a minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word programs especially Microsoft Excel.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer software (Windows XP or later) and computer hardware.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures.
- Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- An HR certification a plus.
