Are you struggling to stay current with the constantly changing Federal and State laws that required updated Labor Law posters? As an employer, Federal and State laws require you to clearly display official labor and employment posters detailing federal and applicable state labor laws as long as you have one or more employees. In 2014, over thirteen states saw minimum wage changes, and last year multiple Federal and State changes took place requiring updates be posted. Do you know if your Labor Law posters are up-to-date?
It can be hard to keep track, but we can help. Below you’ll find a Q&A on one of our newest service enhancements, Compliance Poster Service. With updates in regulations on the horizon, don’t worry about if your Poster is current. Let us take care of the hassle by sending you hard copy or eUpdates every time a change to your poster needs to be made. As a business owner, we know you have a lot to manage, so let us help you worry about one less thing. Make sure to read the Q&A and contact our Poster Service Team with any questions.
Q & A
Q: What is Compliance Poster Service?
A: Compliance Poster Service is a subscription Labor Law Poster service, providing regular updates for both State and Federal Labor Law posters.
Q: Why does my business need Compliance Poster Service?
A: Labor Law Posters are required by law. All employers with at least one employee are required to post both mandatory state and federal labor law postings. Not having a current poster or any of the updates can result in fines.
Q: How does it work?
A: Through your Advantage Payroll, you can purchase Federal and State posters, as well as Compliance Poster Service updates. Each month, via either email or print (postal mail), updates or updated posters will be sent to your business.
Q: What are the benefits of retaining this kind of subscription service?
A: Labor Law posters can change at any time. Since January 2007, there have been over 100 different changes in state and federal labor law postings. With all of the new legislation and constantly changing OSHA requirements, it can be challenging to make sure your posters are up to date. As an example, 13 states changed their minimum wage in 2014. With Compliance Poster Service, you don’t need to worry about staying on top of all the updates—it’s all done for you!
Q: What does this cost?
A: We have two levels. Our E-Alerts is $3.50 a month. Updates arrive via email, and just print and hang next to your current poster. Our Poster Service level is $7.50 and will automatically mail you a full, updated poster to hang.
