As a small business owner, it can be overwhelming to keep up with the constantly changing laws and new regulations, especially in New York State. By law, all employers with at least one employee are required to have both state and federal labor law posters displayed in each physical location where the business operates, in locations viewable to employees. If you do not have proper posters displayed for your employees, you could be penalized by OSHA, or employees could even take you to court, costing you thousands of dollars in legal fees.

Posting requirements vary by statute; that means that not all employers are covered by each of the Department’s statutes and may not be required to post a specific notice. For example, some small businesses are not covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act, which means they are not subject to the Act’s posting requirements.

1. Why and where do Labor Law Posters need to be displayed?

By law, all employers that have at least 1 employee are required to have state and federal labor law posters displayed in each physical location the business operates where employees can see them. If you do not have proper posters displayed for your employees, you could be penalized by OSHA, or employees could even take you to court, costing you thousands of dollars in legal fees. For a one time fee of $49.99 we can send you a state and federal poster, and for $5 (email updates) or $10 (laminated poster) a month, you can ensure you are always in compliance with new laws and regulations.

2. How often do posters get updated?
Since January 2007, there have been over 100 different changes in state and federal labor law postings. With either of our subscription service options, you will ensure you are in constant compliance because you will receive the updates to post for your employees.

3. Are these the only posters I need to display?
The poster set Advantage provides meets the requirements for general businesses. Depending on your industry, there may be additional posters required in your location. We can get you information on your industry specific needs- call today!

4. I have multiple states that I operate in. Do you offer posters for all 50 states?
Absolutely! Let us know what states you have locations in and we will get you all the required sets. We offer discounts for bulk orders as well.

5. Some of my employees speak Spanish. Is there a way to get posters in Spanish as well?
We can get the same posters in Spanish without issue. Please specify when requesting posters what language you need them in (currently available in English and Spanish) and we will send you the necessary poster sets.
