Founded by Rob Basso, a Hofstra University graduate and leading payroll industry professional, Advantage Payroll Services opened its first office in Jericho, New York, in 1996. The company quickly outgrew this office space and moved to Woodbury and then a short time later to Syosset. After five years in business, the company opened its present headquarters in Hicksville, New York.

Over the past ten years the company's reputation and track record of success has garnered for itself and its founders a number of awards and recognitions. In 2003 and 2004, Advantage was recognized as the Regional Partnership's Business of the Year. In addition, Rob Basso was named one of the top business leaders under the age of 40 by the Long Island Business News, and received Hofstra University's Young Alumni Award.

Long Island is home to many small and mid-sized, independently owned and operated businesses. Today, Advantage Payroll serves a diverse client base from across the entire New York metropolitan area and beyond.
