In all the excitement of fireworks and barbecues, it’s easy to overlook that half of 2015 has already come and gone! As I have done myself, I encourage all my clients to take this time to look over all aspects of their business and practices to make sure their professional houses are in order. As a reminder of all the important topics and updates we’ve covered in our newsletter this year, I have compiled a brief six-month summary below for your review. Here’s to a fruitful end of year!

  • JANUARY – Our featured topic: HR Compliance
    To start off the year right, we discussed the customizable solutions Advantage offers to manage your HR needs. Click here to learn more about the different options. We also discussed the repeal of the WTPA provision that required NY employers to provide wage notices to employees between January and February 1 of each year.
  • FEBRUARY – Our featured topic: National Business Capital
    Advantage is excited to announce a new resource that could help provide the tools you need to continue to grow your company.   • MARCH – Our featured topic: Pay’roll’ it Forward Client Appreciation Contest
    Advantage as a company has a workforce that is comprised of 60% women. That is why, in honor of Women’s History month, we created the Pay’roll’ It Forward Contest, to celebrate the women in our lives who work hard and inspire us every day. The winner of this year’s Pay’roll’ It Forward Contest was Theresa Lyons, of Varsity Plumbing and Heating, who received a free payroll run!   • JUNE – Our featured topic: ACA Reporting Deadline
    Last but absolutely not least, you will probably remember that we discussed the upcoming 2016 ACA Reporting Deadline in last month’s newsletter. Under the ACA, employers with 50 or more full-time or full-time equivalent employees must report on their health insurance coverage offerings for the 2015 year. Advantage’s ACA Reporting Service aims to remove the burden of creating month-to-month reports for individual employees to ensure you are in compliance with the regulations of the law.

We ask that all clients, regardless of size, inform Advantage of whether or not they would like to participate in our ACA Reporting Service by July 15, 2015.
